The C19 Databus Drive is a huge guitar synthesizer with a 16x16 LED matrix oscilloscope. It has two signal paths, octave down (one or two octaves down) and unison/octave up. Each signal path has one type of modulation, phaser and vibrato. Great for making sounds reminiscent of the 8-bit era of computers/consoles!
It's based on CMOS 4000-series chips (no microcontrollers). Unlike a normal pedal, this effect is designed to be housed in a custom enclosure with a transparent top cover, so that the circuitboard with the LED matrix can be displayed through the top of the case.
C19 stands for "CMOS 19" (the number of chips on the board). It's inspired by the look of old motherboards, especially the C64 motherboard (which the name is a homage to), but also the Gigatron TTL computer, which has a glass cover.
